Hello, anyone still here?

Have you ever notice how time flies

even when you are not having fun?

My one week break has

easily turned into two and

I could have gone three if sweet Kellie had not sent me this

 just so you know

it's been 2 weeks.

but who's counting???

miss you!

love you

Thank you Kellie,

I have had a really hard two weeks

nothing tragic has happened

but lots of not enjoyable life has gone on.

Trust me when I say that I know I am blessed and am not looking for attention, but I do want to be very open and honest here.  In the coming weeks you will most likely get some hints of the types of things that we have been dealing with because I think I my write a few post on how God has worked in my life through them  (Ms. Jan, this may be the beginning of that book we talk about writing).

Today I want to leave you with a Question.

Where and how do you find joy?

Cha Cha

BTW, I think it is important to note that My hubby and I are fine and there are no health problems, just so no one is worried that it is something like that.

ChaCha, I find joy in many ways. It could be rubbing my pigs, loving on my furbabies, flipping through photo albums, getting a special letter in the mail. But there are days I find saddness in those same things. I know you will find strength and you will come through this time a stronger better person.

Jeanette, I love your pigs and am going to have to find a way to get to play with them and visit you one day. Thank you for your sweet heart and kind words of encouragement, you are such a blessing.

I find joy in half an hour with God on my porch swing while my wonderful husband feeds our beautiful baby boy his oatmeal in the morning. Glad you are back, you'll be in my prayers.

One thing that brings me joy is you! My friends are always a source of encouragement to me. Of course, we can't discuss joy without remember that it comes from the Holy Spirit. Hang in there my comes in the morning. Lisa~

i agree with lisa, you bring me joy. having everything done (meals, somewhat tidy home, laundry) brings me joy because then i wont feel guilty about playing with the kids. (If you read inbetween the lines on that last sentence - i have too many issues.)

yes, porch time just thinking & dreaming. dear friends & sweet tea.
knowinig i have countless blessings to be thankful for.

My dear sweet friend
I wish I could give you a BIG hug... I do not know all that you are going through I just know that God has been with you and that somehow someway you will get through all of this better than you ever were!

I said a prayer that God will wrap his arms around you and give you a sense of peace and contentment!

I saw something the other day on TV (maybe Dr Oz) where they asked the woman what brought her joy and everything she said involved someone else... well I had a moment where every joy I thought about was someone else... however they stressed YOU...
So what brings ME joy is
the smell of rain
a shower
first snow
chats with God
creating something from nothing
a quaint shop
apple cider slushies
getting dirty
my relaxation CD

so many things bring me joy but the most important things that are top on the list...

God's unfailing and never-ending love for me-it sounds cliche..but it's what holds me together.

My husband and the sweet marriage covenant that I have with him...I'd never choose to do this life with anyone other than him...

my three children---such gifts. such joy they bring me each morning when we greet another day together...

my parents...their lives bring me joy...the redemption that I've seen them receive from God...every prayer I've ever prayed has been answered...

my dear friends...the ones who know me deeply and choose to appreciate me exactly how God made me...the ones who wouldn't want to change one thing about me...those kind of friends are rare and beautiful treasures.

the seasons...especially crisp, Fall weather...

and then silly little things like happy, colorful things...they bring me joy and make me smile and happy to be alive.

when you start to list them realize how many people and places and things give you JOY.

so much to be thankful for.

I find joy in my family, friends, settling down and reading God's word, praise and worship music, our sweet girl's laugh...These and many other blessings. There are rough and tough days for sure, but I think remembering these joyful things lightens the load a bit.
I am praying for you. Thank you for all the prayers you sent our way during the last few weeks!
